Start point : 9-00 at Metano petrol station just by E45 (exit Sansepolcro turn left towards Anghiari after go under the super strada you'll find the petrol station on your right. We then proceed together to S.Pietro in Villa. Bring towel, swimming costume (No changing rooms!) and insect repellent. You can either bring a picnic or go into Sansepolcro to eat at end of trail. General Description
This off-road trail first takes in stunning views of the mountain lake Montedoglio and then descends into a beautiful unspoilt area of "Tail waters" and large ponds (a bit like water meadows)which the Upper Tiber tumbles and sparkles through like a mountain stream.

Trail Breakdown
Male spose to "lake-way" car park 4 km (45 mins) off road. Shade and amazing views of lake and mountain but a couple of q.hard 8 min ascents! 1 km tarmac descent (10 mins) Turn off before the church and descend towards the dam. (20 mins) Turn back from dam and follow trail to lake hut (50 mins) Cycle to SS for lunch leaving behind picnicers.(30 mins.) After lunch return to Metano garage for cars etc.
